John began putting websites together for fun when he was just a teenager. He moved to Austin, TX from Washington, D.C. in late 2005 to help with a family restaurant business. While living in Austin, he enrolled in school for computer science. Getting back to his roots, he began studying full stack web development at Austin Coding Academy. Since graduating, he has worked with small teams on non profit projects as well as small contracts. He was added to the studio team at Volusion in 2021.

Outside of work, John is very actively involved in the ice hockey community. Coaching 15 year olds, and captaining for the adult leagues. He also has a background in furniture design with a full woodworking shop out of his home.
